Windsor, London, UK, 26th August 2026.
Inceptua Group (Inceptua) and TikoMed AB (TikoMed) have announced the launch of a Named Patient Program for TikoMed’s investigational drug, ILB®, for eligible patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disorder. It progressively damages motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord, leading to severe muscle weakness, loss of voluntary movement, and eventually respiratory failure. ALS is a rare disease affecting about 2-3 in every 100,000 individuals worldwide. There is currently no cure for ALS.
A Named Patient Programme is a compliant way for medicines that are not approved in their country of intended use to be made available for patients who either have no alternative treatment option or have exhausted all other treatment options available in their country of residence. The ILB® Named Patient Program is designed to provide eligible patients with a pathway to access ILB® prior to regulatory approval, where permitted under local regulations.
Requests for access to ILB® must be made by a Healthcare Professional (HCP). HCPs can request access for a patient by contacting Inceptua at: access@inceptua.com or calling + 44 20 3910 7670.
About ILB®
ILB® is an investigational drug that is currently being evaluated in a randomised Phase 2 clinical trial in patients with ALS. ILB® has shown encouraging preclinical findings in neurodegenerative conditions and has previously been evaluated in two small, uncontrolled clinical studies in patients with ALS. ILB® is an investigational medicinal product and has not been approved by any regulatory authority for the treatment of ALS.
About TikoMed

TikoMed is developing innovative treatments for neurodegenerative diseases and other degenerative conditions through its drug candidate ILB®, a dextran sulfate that has shown a good safety profile and promising results for the treatment of ALS in limited phase 2a studies.
