We are hiring for the position of Senior Manager, Business Development, Early Access to be based in the USA for an immediate start.
You will report to the EVP, Early Access and will support the Early Access business unit through prospecting and developing leads for new business opportunities, supporting with background research relating to business development and client requirements, design and delivery of consultancy projects, and preparing proposals in relation to RFPs for Early Access Programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities through market and pipeline analysis.
- Conduct BD outreach to potential partners and represent the company at key conferences and industry events.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with biopharmaceutical clients and regional prospects to build and expand a long-term business pipeline and achieve agreed targets.
- Uncover and track potential Early Access new business opportunities and secure awards with new and existing clients.
- Develop and submit proposals that offer bespoke and valued services and solutions based on a thorough understanding of prospective client needs
- Support the continuous improvement of BD processes, reporting, and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency across the function.
- Facilitate and participate in initial engagement with potential client companies, and in bid defense meetings.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of consultancy projects, providing analytical input, commercial insight, and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Drive the completion of contracting with clients in a timely manner.
- Achieve revenue, gross profit and growth goals by securing new business opportunities with new and existing client companies.
- Collaborate with BD staff and other internal stakeholders to execute a marketing plan for EA activities, including conference attendance and management, materials, branding and though leadership
- Maintain training and compliance with Inceptua SOPs and standards and seek new opportunities to develop in role
- Track ongoing industry development pipelines and portfolios to support continued business development activities
- Work collaboratively within Early Access and other Inceptua business groups to foster productive working relationships and focus on achieving client satisfaction and timely delivery
- Maintain and enhance the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of leads, opportunities, and partner interactions
Your profile:
- Experience in business development, commercial strategy, or consultancy within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to interpret medical, scientific and commercial data to develop highly relevant and tailored solutions for Pharma clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in developing proposals and engaging external partners
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms and data analysis tools (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience working in Early Access / unlicensed medicines is strongly preferred
- Educated to at least degree level in a science or business-related discipline
- Collaborative, organised, and proactive, with a balance of strategic perspective and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams across BD, consultancy, commercial operations and strategy
- Willingness to travel for conferences and partner meetings as required
